Our client is looking for a Senior Windows Engineer responsible for supporting, designing and the migration of heterogeneous complex infrastructure of systems that include but not limited to dedicated hosting, managed hosting, VIH, and collocation as well as customized managed hosting infrastructure. Candidates should be experienced and seasoned in planning and relocating large data centers with no business interruptions.

Main Duties:

Build, configure, deploy, and maintain servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 / 2008 with strong skills in supporting active directory, GPO, and domain / forest trusts

Develop High Availability by using Microsoft Windows Clustering and Network Load Balanced equipment and software to meet the high standards required by the company

Provide local teams with in-depth knowledge of the Suite of Microsoft practices (Server 2003 / 2008, .NET framework, IIS MetaBase, and COM components)

Actively participate in implementations, migrations, and 24x7 support on all turn-key project to all levels of hosting, operations, service level delivery, and support the distributed n-tier application server farm in ASP model (application services platform)

Resolve several complex hardware and software integration issues, interfacing with MS-SQL Database administration, automated software deployment using Computer Associates DSM, network support personnel, and vendors to coordinate solutions

Engineer, implement, and manage a core VMware virtual infrastructure containing ESX 3.5/4.0 host servers on HP C class servers, utilizing VMware's VMotion, DRS, and HA technologies to provide high availability

Manage and support some of mainstream back-up technologies utilizing VERITAS Backup Exec or similar tools; data archiving; and remote storage

The successful applicant will possess the following requirements:

• Have a high degree of competency in one or more technical areas: Active Directory 2003 / 2008; administration and troubleshooting of SQL 2003 / 2005 Databases; application deployment using automation tools; Microsoft clustering or basic networking; and working knowledge in several other areas
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant senior-level experience with designing, planning, and troubleshooting complex tiered Web Server Farm in a datacenter environment with expertise in HP/IBM Blades, Windows Server 2003 / 2008; product licensing; and single sign-on using Netegrity SiteMinder
• Experience supporting production Websites with a good understanding of Microsoft IIS 6.0/7.0
• Knowledge of integrating application server farms with technologies such as UDDI, soap, WSDL, xml, and .NET framework
• Exceptional communications capabilities including leveraging other people, giving presentations, and speaking publicly
• Initiative and ability to work in a self-directed manner with a working knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, ICMP, SOAP, UDP, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, and RDP
• Knowledge of SAN architecture with experience in EMC and SAN monitoring tools (an added advantage)
• Working knowledge and/or understanding of server automation with emphasis on unattended installs using computer associates Desktop Server Manager

• Certification(s) in areas of expertise

Education or Equivalent Experience:

• A BS/BA Degree with a minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in 1 discipline with strong knowledge of at least 2 other disciplines; 5 years of technical design and implementation; and experience supporting a large server farm in heterogeneous networks
