Pulse International is looking for a western-trained Registered Nurse for the Adult Oncology Unit of the 250-bed, tertiary-care King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah. Located in downtown Jeddah, on the Red Sea, the ultra-modern and luxurious King Faisal Hospital is internationally accredited (JCI) and part of one of the major hospital groups in the Middle East
The Department of Oncology provides the following services:
· Benign Haematology Service
· Bone Marrow Transplantation Programme
· Palliative Care and Home Health Care Service
(more than 500 home visits weekly)
· Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Programme
· Radiation Oncology
The unit consists of 25 patient care rooms, all single occupancy, with Hepa filtering under positive pressure. Patients are admitted under Medical Oncology, Hematology, Palliative Care and Radiation Oncology. The unit carries out, on average, 1 Bone Marrow Transplant per month.
All staff are certified in the administration of chemotherapy. Training and education is provided by the unit Nurse Educator.
The successful candidate for this post will be a Registered Nurse with at least two years post-registration experience in Adult Oncology.
