A leading engineering, procurement and construction company are recruiting for a Proposal Coordinator/Engineer to work in Surrey on a major oil & Gas project.
Your role as Proposals Coordinator will be to Coordinate the companies proposal process and content for assigned proposals.
• Business Development Responses: Responsible for coordinating the companies responses to business development opportunities, including initial pursuits of prospects, requests for information, solicitation of interests, pre-qualifications, and requests for proposals.
Proposal coordination responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Coordinate the implementation of a proposal responsibility matrix and proposal schedule
o Coordinate proposal kick-off and review meetings
o Assist in developing the proposal win strategy and value proposition
o Coordinate and expedite the information necessary for a quality proposal response
o Coordinate proposal data entry, formatting, editing, reviews, reproduction and delivery
o Interface with key participants, including clients, to execute the proposal process
o Assist in developing sales, marketing, and technical information for proposal use
o Assist in developing proposal resources for efficient retrieval
o Assist in developing and maintaining consistency of proposal procedures and guidelines
o Help ensure overall compliance with applicable client requests and requirements
o Takes ownership of small to medium sized proposals and pre-qualification requests as delegated by Manager Proposals
• Proposal Management Reviews: Assist in the preparation and scheduling of technical and commercial proposal reviews, including red team and management reviews.
• Proposal Resource Training: Assist in the orientation and training of other proposal participants, including: assistants, process and technical coordinators and business development managers.
• General: In addition to the activities detailed above undertakes the following:
o Updates pre-qualification databases such as FPAL and JQS
Supports Manager Proposals in Prospect Tracking and Reporting
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• Experience
o Minimum five years working with proposals
o Oil and gas industry preferred
o Technical and/or engineering experience preferred
• Education
o Qualification in engineering, business, marketing or English language.
• Skills
o Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
o Good organisational, coordination, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
o Good understanding and implementation of industry best practices for proposals
o Good proofreading, editing and business software skills (style, format, grammar, etc.)
o Experience in marketing techniques (layout, graphics, value proposition) preferred
o Above-average Microsoft Excel skills preferred
