Project Manager - Vehicle System/Fuel System
Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
The section which you will be a part of is a group of 20 dedicated and competent colleagues. We are organized within the Research and Development department and under the Vehicle Systems Area. We are responsible for development of the fuel system and the control unit for fuel, air and hydraulics (GECU).
We realize and integrate functions in aircraft for our customers, within the responsibility of our technical domains, using mechanics, electronics and software. The work is performed in large projects as well as in minor assignments, and we cooperate to a great extent with suppliers and partners in other countries.
There are many challenges for us, for example the further development of the Gripen fighter (this is where the majority of the work is performed), new businesses within the commercial market and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Your function
As project manager you will lead both large and small projects with international character. You will be responsible for time, technique and budget for your projects.
The projects contain all development phases from conceptual design to verification and validation. You will lead a team of people from different areas within Saab and also coordinate and lead suppliers.
Requirements:
- Experience from project management
- Technical background and the ability to understand our systems
- Commercial interest and some negotiation skills
- You are a natural leader with the interest of leading people towards specific goals
- Typical background could be a Master of Science in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, electrical engineering or equivalent
- You should have good skills in oral and written presentations in both the Swedish and the English language
