London Sales Manager

About Our Client
London Letterbox Ltd is the leading independent direct advertising distribution company in London. Established some 20 years ago the company has grown to be the preferred supplier to the majority of London Councils, major employers including the NHS, the Metropolitan Police and key commercial businesses such as Savills Chelsea F.C. Serco and Amey. The company has the resources to vertically manage all aspects of direct mail from design and printing through to delivery either by area, street or address.

The London Sales Manager will be responsible for the following:

Business Development Strategy

To develop and agree with the Managing Director and Commercial Director a comprehensive sales strategy with clearly defined milestones and measurable outcomes which will build on the existing business base and maximise the utilisation of the existing company resources. To lead the implementation of the strategy once agreed

Sales System and Processes

To select and lead the establishment of an effective CRM system together with the implementation of systematic sales processes so that sales leads are speedily responded to and managed and existing business relationships maintained. To create and implement effective marketing processes and materials including sales letter templates, tender documents and regular business relation briefings.

New Business Development

To develop new business by identifying new opportunities, and directly contacting/ responding to new business leads. Where required the Sales Director will lead the tendering team and process. In addition to establish effective marketing and data research material to underpin the sales processes.

Sales Team

To train and develop the existing sales assistant and once the strategy and sales system is in place the Sales Director will recruit and train one or more sales executives as required.

The Successful Applicant:
The London Sales Manager will possess the following attributes:

Will be a seasoned sales and marketing professional preferably with extensive experience of the direct marketing sales sector.
Will be confident working with CRM and be keen to be key to the development and implementation of an appropriate sales system
Will have enjoyed and been successful both in the farming and hunting sales role and can demonstrate success in recruiting and developing a sales team.
Able to operate both in the niitty gritty detail of tender documentation and in leading complex sales presentations needed to win heavyweight contracts.
Will preferably had an early career in a large company sales team but would be comfortable working in a very fast growing less formal small owner-managed environment
Will have had extensive experience in the London market particularly in selling services.

What's on Offer:
£50,000 - £55,000 Basic Salary + Commission + Car/Car Allowance
