BUSINESS-DRIVEN CONTROLLER

H&M is a fast-growing fashion retailer operating more than 2,500 stores in 45 countries. We continue to expand worldwide, with the goal to grow by 10-15 percent per year. This implies that we over the next 5-6 years will double the amount of stores compared to today. We will achieve this by expanding simultaneously in Europe, America, and Asia. We expect to grow in both existing countries and enter 2-5 new markets per year, and continue to expand all of the H&M Group’s brands, i.e., H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday and Cheap Monday.

Job description:

The Interior Purchase department is responsible for the global purchase of interior articles for our new stores, as well as rebuilding of existing stores. We are now looking for a business driven Controller that will continue to help build and develop the department.

The Interior Purchase department manages several hundred store projects every year, accounting for a big part of the group’s investments. The Interior Purchase department is a part of the Interior department team, which is responsible for all aspects of creating our H&M stores, i.e. to design, draw, buy and build each store.

As a Business-driven Controller at the Interior Purchase Department you will from day one have a key role. Your work will cover all aspects of the process of sourcing and purchasing interior for our store projects globally. You will work closely with a Senior Controller in developing and implementing operational and strategic initiatives. You will also work together with the entire interior purchase team, where you will assist the Senior Controller to set and follow up targets for costs, lead time and quality, analyze and suggest improvements in the way we work. Further, you are expected to act as a project leader on various initiatives related to improving our purchase process. You will work in a highly international and demanding environment working both with our country teams and/or suppliers. In addition to your work at the Interior Purchase department you will also assist in creating and follow-up department budgets and controlling the internal costs.

To succeed in this position you probably already have:
- A degree in business/economics and/or engineering
- 2-4 years of work experience, following your graduation.
- Experience from purchase, supply chain and/or controlling.
- Strong project leader skills combined with good communication skills
- A natural drive to achieve results and a strong track record in your roles so far
- A genuine interest in and experience from business and/or negotiations
- Very strong analytical skills, particularly for quantitative analyses
- Strong skills in understanding and improving ways of working (methodology, process)
- An ability to communicate findings in a simple and straightforward way

As a person, we believe you are ambitious, competitive, humble, and a fast learner. You are constantly looking for possibilities to improve things. You value own responsibility, fast pace, teamwork and straight forward communication. You look forward to an opportunity to work with many different countries and cultures.

H&M offers you an exciting challenge in an international work environment with endless opportunities.
