eni is looking for a FPSO Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to join the project in Angola and to work remotely from Singapore on a residential basis. It will be a 12 months’ assignment.

About the project:
Eni’s presence in Angola dates back to 1980 when the country opened up hydrocarbons exploration to foreign oil companies. This led to the arrival in Angola of all the major international oil companies. Eni was awarded Block 1 and Block 3, along with other foreign companies. In 1987, Eni was invited by the government to enter the Cabinda area, in a joint venture that was once led by Chevron.
Exploration and development activities are concentrated in conventional and deep offshore areas covering a total, developed and undeveloped, of 21,489 km², including 4,442 net to Eni. In 2013, Eni’s share of hydrocarbon production in Angola amounted to 87,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/day).
As a FPSO Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer your primary responsibility will be to support the Block 15/06 Commissioning SPT in controlling/manage the Commissioning & start-up of instrumentation systems as well as to supervise the contractor’ work force while implementing their tasks ensuring that works are performed according to project specifications, international rules and schedule.
As a FPSO Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Relevant degree:
A number of years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in offshore facilities.
Several years of experience in project construction management of oil/gas field development projects.
As a FPSO Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:
Agree/Approve the commissioning procedure relevant to the Instrument & automation system
Review/approve the Contractor ‘ commissioning procedure
Executing final inspection
Punch lists clearance
Issuing of Ready for commissioning certificates
Commissioning certificates approval
Promptly alerting the Commissioning SPT in case of major problems
Dealing with the contractors to solve minor problems
Support the Commissioning SPT in managing and resolving NCR and SQ
Support the Commissioning SPT in issuing Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports
Responsible for timeliness and efficiency of works execution and technical quality of Commissioning procedures
