Account Manager - Best Buy

Position is responsible for interfacing with the Best Buy customer, Electrolux Major Appliance (EMA) manufacturing locations, Design Center, accounting / finance group, marketing team and overall corporate headquarters to develop selling strategies to drive incremental business for respective product line(s) while maintaining target profitability and volume levels.

Job description:

Develop strategic product line-ups with detailed feature specifications by coordinating with Merchandising Managers and Product Line Managers that reflects the EMA brand, marketing and sales strategy.
Prepare, lead and coordinate product line review and tech reviews for specific product categories.
Create pricing strategy for annual product line-ups that maintain and increase EMA profit objectives.
Coordinate sales, merchandising, and marketing efforts in a timely manner including but not limited to Point of Purchase (POP) materials, online dot.com initiatives, advertising, and in-store merchandising.
Financial responsibility for pricing, promotions, merchandising and marketing while tracking promotional agreements, advertising / marketing spend, and Account Receivables via Market Develop Funds (MDF) and Debit Memos for assigned lines.

Develop promotional plans with Buying Team/Advertising Department to maximize return to EMA/Best Buy to achieve team and corporate objectives.

Track performance of assigned product line(s) against specific financial and volume objectives.
Create, maintain and communicate all pertinent industry, sales, and profit data analytics.
Responsible for maintaining, communicating and updating forecast/order status for assigned product lines.
Monitor quality level for product category and monitor improvement plans with manufacturing facilities.
Ensure data integrity is entered and maintained on items including, but not limited to, pricing, VSI, CTS, and item set-up.

Coordinate training initiatives with the EMA and Best Buy training and field organizations Responsible for material preparation, coordination and facilitation of monthly merchant, forecasting, training and marketing meetings.
Maintain open communication with the Best Buy Merchants (Buyers), Merchant Analysts, and inventory team.
Be an active member of the BBY team, as well as, promote a sense of team within the EMANA sales organization as a whole.

Approximately 30-40% travel will be required to attend all internal and external meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Business Administration
MBA preferred
3-5 years sales experience in key or national accounts; marketing experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Strong communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
Solid financial analysis abilities including tracking performance
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Good basic knowledge of product development processes, advertising, marketing and sales
Proven competency in MS Office Applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Successful strategy development and implementation
Capable of setting priorities, meeting pre-determined deadlines, multi-tasking and attention to detail
