Cost Leadership Office Manager
Group Finance The markets in which Tele2 is active are in constant change. Swift technological development and strong competition creates a market environment where products and customer offerings change rapidly. The nature of operations is capital intensive with significant investments in network infrastructure and IT systems. Given the mentioned characteristics the business is to be considered as very complex. This complexity demands a highly functional finance function. Besides basic needs such as control, speed and accuracy in reporting, the Group finance function at Tele2 must display a high degree of flexibility and proactive behavior in order to support the business demand side in a satisfactory way.
Group Planning & Business Control
The work produced by the team Group Planning & Business Control is to large extent consumed by Tele2’s Executive Leadership Team and in many cases also by the Tele2 Board of Directors. Because of this, the demand for quality, accuracy and timely deliverance is very high. Due to the combination of periodically recurring reporting requirements and several special assignments, the work load is to be described as relatively intense throughout the year. The work tasks for Group Planning & Business Control can be divided into four main categories; Financial forecasting & planning (1), Financial analysis & reporting (2), Cost leadership office (3) and Controlling of the Central functions (4).
Responsibilities and duties:
The Cost Leadership Office Manager will report to the Director of Group Planning & Business Control and be responsible for below duties.
- Manage the annual cost benchmarking process
- Act as liaison between central organizations and local countries in matters related to cost leadership and cost benchmarking
- Act as indirect cost expert in relation to budget, forecast updates and strategic plan
- Handle day-to-day requests from controllers and act as supportive function in matters related to cost leadership
- Analyze the organization's business needs in terms of cost efficiency
- Address identified quick wins in terms of cost efficiency
- Advocate and promote a cost efficient culture within Tele2
Competence and experience:
Education: Master in Business Administration or similar
Language skills: Very good knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish language is meriting
Experience: 5 years of qualified work experience, for example management consultant within the area of finance. Telecom and cost benchmarking experience is meriting
Personal attributes: analytical, communicative, independent, high work capacity, socially intelligent
