qed-i are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to take up the role of Commissioning Focal Point (Offshore) for one of the North Sea's biggest projects.
Accountable for the delivery of comprehensive commissioning support to the HUC Team in delivering the project scope of work safely, on schedule and budget.
Accountable for the management of commissioning support services (provision of resources) to the BP Commissioning Team in line with project requirements and schedule, ensuring the highest standard of service provision is provided at all times.
Management of interfaces between AMEC and the BP Commissioning Team and as required associated vendors/sub-contractors
Key Aims/Objectives:
To assist in ensuring all project / company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
Ensure all commissioning personnel (as provided) are experienced and competent, applicable to their discipline and role.
Ensure all commissioning personnel (as provided) are and aware of and implement safe working practices / procedures in line with AMEC, qedi and BP requirements.
Deliver a high standard commissioning support service to the project (AMEC and BP) ensuring a consistent and efficient approach is implemented at all times.
Implement a continuous improvement philosophy across the commissioning service provision, delivering best practices at all times.
Manage, support and develop commissioning personnel in line with project requirements
Ensure the smooth transition of key personnel across all project phases, ensuring continuity and retention of project knowledge and skills.
Maintain and deliver the commissioning support service within budget and on schedule - where applicable implement cost /time saving initiatives.
Ensure all applicable project interfaces / relationships are managed and maintained to a high standard.
Primary Function
Manage the provision of commissioning support services to the HUC Team and BP in line with project requirements in a safe and structured manner at all times, ensuring delivery of applicable project commissioning objectives.
Continually strive to improve / develop the provision of a high quality commissioning support service as required by the project.
Develop necessary schedules and plans to manage the provision of commissioning support effectively and efficiently
Manage all project commissioning resource provision in line with project safety and schedule requirements.
Manage as required commissioning support services budget and costs
Ensure effective commissioning processes, procedures and documentation are implemented and managed effectively
Ensure all necessary training required for commissioning personnel is delivered in line with project requirements, ensuring all personnel are competent and possess the required qualifications/ skills and tools.
Audit / review of the project commissioning support service provision ensuring where applicable recommendations implemented.
Manage all interfaces with Company Commissioning Management / Team ensuring good working relationships are developed, maintained and enhanced.
Communicate and report status of commissioning support services / activities ensuring all applicable information is provided consistently and to high standard.
Allied Occasional Duties:
Provide support to 'input into design' process as required
As required provide input into the development of the integrated project schedule and TCE.
Provide input to TRM, HAZID processes etc. as required.
Provide input to Competency Assurance Process as required.
Performance Development Reviews (PDR's) of commissioning personnel
Interview and assessment of commissioning personnel.
