Scheduled to open in 2013, the Sidra Medical and Research centre will offer the latest technology and equipment to meet world-class standards in patient care, medical education and biomedical research. There will be a sophisticated clinical and translational research programme, general adult medical and surgical services and specialty care for women and children. The centre will be a teaching venue for medical students at Weill Cornell Medical College - a branch of the prestigious Ivy League university in New York.
The Paediatric Specialty Clinics will cover 28 major sub-specialty programmes and will provide high quality, patient-friendly care to children up to the age of 18 years.
The Clinical Nurse Leader will play a major role in the implementation of the Sidra vision of family-centred care, planning for the provision of clinical leadership in this specialty. After the centre opens the post-holder will take on a senior operational role.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse (Bachelor’s Degree) with at least three years’ experience at Charge Nurse level in Paediatric Nursing in a western academic medical centre. A post-registration qualification in this specialty or a Master’s degree in Nursing would be an advantage. A very attractive, tax-free salary and benefits package are offered.
