Our client is a highly innovative international engineering and service organisation. Further to this they are highly cash generative and operate within a growing market.
The Operations Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan for the growing maintenance & service business. Reporting into the UK Managing Director the individual will be a key member of the leadership team driving improvement across customer satisfaction, safety and quality across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Direct accountability for teams across: Operations, National Accounts, Customer Care Centre, Materials & Logistics, Business Development, Contacts & Data and Service Solutions along with the matrix responsibility for the wider service engineering teams.
Collaborating with Regional Directors to develop and achieve their operational budgets
Defining and implementing an Integrated Field Operations Management System to ensure field operations are executed accurately and smoothly
Providing direction and support to the business to deliver against key performance metrics such as: productivity, client satisfaction, first time fix, call out reduction etc.
Defining and implementing local and global maintenance development actions.
Establishing and maintaining high-level commercial relationships with customers
Driving a culture of safety and quality throughout the business.
Responsible for customer satisfaction, data management and service quality.
The Successful Applicant:
In order to be successful in this role candidates must have experience of leading, either directly or through a matrix, large field engineering teams across a wide geography. Further to this they will have experience of driving profitable improvement across the operational delivery of these services through the implementation of process improvement methodologies such as lean or six sigma.
Specific experience and attributes will include:
Experience of leading remote maintenance teams and wide knowledge of facilities management
Proven experience of developing and implementing operational strategies
Experience of working in a large and complex organisation
Knowledge of modern maintenance methodology and practices along with process improvement tools such as lean and six sigma
Established people and business leadership credentials
