This division of a major operator performs a key role as part of the Development Function supporting the engineering for all the company’s businesses (Upstream, Midstream and Downstream).
The company has a long history as a centre of technical excellence, acting as engineering specialists for the group and is structured as the group’s competence and execution centre in the UK for engineering services and feasibility studies in the Oil and Gas industry.
A Senior Buyer is required to work in the Purchasing department for initially 6 months (may extend).
The person specification is as follows:
Essential skills/experience: Experience in negotiating service contracts under UK law. Application of commercial Terms and Conditions used in the Petrochemical industry.
Understanding of HSE legislation. Experience dealing with demanding senior stakeholders and working to tight deadlines. Strong leadership and initiative skills.
Minimum degree level preferably with CIPS
