The Purchasing Manager/Senior Buyer will manage and lead the Purchasing Department by taking an end to end responsibility for the operational purchasing process on site in order to ensure profitability, quality, and sustain the company’s delivery performance (OTIF). Due to the small team in local purchasing this position is operative where in addition to managerial duties, the candidate will be commercially responsible for defined spend areas as well as issue purchase orders for raw materials and indirect materials. Secure the inbound supply of raw materials, packaging materials and indirect materials operationally through agreement implementation, demand planning, ordering, expediting and follow up, goods receipt, complaints handling and payment.
Ensure commercial handling of all spend areas not subject to global category management.
Managing the department by setting goals in line with company strategy and aligned with Group Purchasing and to implement the relevant actions to achieve agreed targets.
Motivating, developing and attending to the training needs of the purchasing team as to ensure that they are equipped with the required skills to perform their functions effectively and efficiently.
College / University, Bachelor's degree
