Junior Coating Advisor

We are looking for a Junior coating advisor (m/f) to join our team in Hamburg, Germany, immediately. Jotun Germany currently has 47 employees and operates in the Marine/Megayachting, Protective, Decorative and Powder Segments. The Junior coating advisor will support the team by conducting inspections, bringing about technical solutions and advising the customers on paint applications. S/he will be one of five coating advisors who report directly to the local TSS manager. We are looking for an individual with a technical background. Conduct inspections independently as part of global projects in the fields of marine and/or protective
Make suggestions to the customers and Jotun employees regarding the application of paints and varnishes
Verify compliance with Jotun specifications and guidelines
Provide technical advice for the customers
Bring about technical and practical solutions
Ensure the effective communication with internal and external contacts
Create reports on a regular basis
Attend training and continued education measures regularly

Education level:
Vocational upper secondary school

Personal qualities:
Adheres to company rules and procedures; executes plans with commitment and determination; achieves high quality results
Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively
Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments

Co-operates well with others; shares knowledge, experience and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals

Successfully completed technical training, ideally in the field of metal or corrosion protection or as a welder
1-3 years of professional experience as an applicator or coater in the field of heavy corrosion protection
FROSIO or NACE certificate advantageous
Willingness to travel worldwide (at least 12 weeks per year)
Fluency in English and German
