Highly client-facing opportunity looking after existing corporate portfolio
With 8 hotels throughout the UK - my client are a quality hospitality chain, offering perfect accomodation solutions for business or pleasure. The group hold a variety of corporate bespoke events, as well as weddings, functions and conferences. Experiencing positive growth recently - the client require a proactive Director to take the group to the next level.
The Assistant Sales Director will be in a fully responsible, autonomous and highly visible role - actively meeting clients face-to-face, closing business, and managing large scale accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
To manage a given number of existing accounts and develop each account. Achieve year on year growth as outlined in budget process. Focus on Corporate Transient, Corporate Group Business and MICE to achieve budgeted segmentation revenue.
Ensure top 20 accounts have Account Development Plans (ADP's) in place. Each ADP should be a working document and updated on a monthly basis.
To achieve 10 weekly face-to-face appointments per week consisting of 6 new client appointments and 4 existing client appointments.
Research potential new business and achieve agreed weekly cold-call target.
Ensue all leads are passed on and/or followed up by yourself or relevant department
Ensure all existing and new customer enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently
Refer / cross sell all potential business to the relevant portfolio.
To control costs through correct stationary stock ordering and minimising wastage, forecasting and managing workload.
Financial awareness and understanding of how the role impacts the hotel P& L.
Co-ordinate Hotel Merchandising and Local Marketing
Client entertaining, showrounds and Familiarisation Trips for hotels, as required.
Ensure hotel data is clean and up to date.
The Successful Applicant:
It is essential that applicants have proven sales exposure within a leading London-based hotel group, ideally in a 4* property but this isn't essential. You will be presentable, responsible - and looking for your next step up. This opportunity suits a current Sales Manager looking for a step up into a Director level role.
